Job Details

A business development professional has four primaryresponsibilities:

  1. Identifying new sales leads
  2. Pitching products and/or services
  3. Maintaining fruitful relationships with existing customers / clients.
  4. Look out for business opportunity

When it comes to generating leads, duties include:

Contacting potential clients via email or phone toestablish rapport and set up meetings

Planning and overseeing new marketing initiatives

Attending conferences, meetings, and industry events

Develops and implements strategies to execute the businessplan to achieve desired results (i.e., to increase client base, retention forkey positions, improve overall business flow, Portfolio Management assets,etc.)

Opportunity to conduct seminars, prepare & conductpresentation to potential clients

Locate or propose potential business deals by contactingpotential clients & exploring opportunities

Update job knowledge by participating in educationalopportunities & networking group.

When it comes to sales activities, duties include:

Understanding theclient needs and the objective

Contacting clients to inform them about new developmentsin the company’s services/products

Objection Handling by phone, email, and in person

Developing sales goals for the team and ensuring they aremet

Requirements

Local Diploma or Degree inBusiness/Finance/Economics/Marketing/Communications/Engineering or equivalent1-2 years’ experience in relevant field of study

Strong ethics, with a customer-oriented attitude

Outstanding communication skills, with the ability tofoster long-term relationships

Ability to perform under stress and tight deadlines
